ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The theme for the 2024 conference is “Resourcing STEM Education.” Presentations will include resources and strategies to promote student learning of STEM academic standards. The conference will also include:

  • Over 50 presentations on STEM curriculum, STEM instruction, STEM careers, and STEM research
  • Networking with STEM education vendors
  • Professional Growth Points for teachers

Senior Science Instructor and Internet Education Superstar

The 2024 conference includes Senior Science Instructor and Internet Education Superstar Phil Cook as the keynote speaker. Mr. Cook has taught for over 20 years at Culver Academy. Following a suggestion from one of his students, Phil posted one of his class demonstrations on TikTok. The video went viral, and @ChemTeacherPhil now has over 3 million online followers. His influence continues to expand as Phil partners with companies like Benefit Cosmetics and PepsiCo to explain the science behind their products. Mr. Cook will discuss his passion for education, his rise in Internet fame, and the importance of online resources and demonstrations for STEM education.
