Check Out Our New Parent Peer Support Brochure!

  • Post category:News

Parent Peer Support BrochureWe are excited to share our new parent peer support outreach brochure with you. It can be shared digitally, downloaded or printed. We are also happy to mail you as many hard copies as you would like. Contact us at 601-355-0915 or info@faams.org to let us know that you would like hard copies sent to you.

Please share the brochure far and wide with any parents or caregivers who might be interested in doing parent-peer support. A caregiver is someone other than a biological or adoptive parent raising a child, such as a foster parent, grandparent, or another relative.

If you are a parent or caregiver who is raising (or has raised) a child aged 0-21 with mental health, behavioral health, substance use or other types of challenges—and you want to use your lived experience to support other families on the same journey—you’re a great candidate for being a parent peer supporter.

If you are a person who works with parent peer supporters, such as a peer support supervisor, children’s services director or MAP team facilitator, we want to support you too. Call us anytime if you have questions or ideas about parent peer support. Please join us on or April 8 at 10 a.m. for a virtual Conversation for Anyone working with Parent Peer Supporters. We will share an overview of Families as Allies’ parent peer support training and ongoing support. We want to hear your feedback on how we’re doing from your perspective and how we can be most supportive to you.
