Indiana Learning Lab District Administrator Feature: IDOE is excited to announce the opportunity for schools and corporations to utilize the Learning Lab's District Administrator features. Send notifications to teachers, create private resources and collections, and run reports to track resource completion. Synchronous Virtual Learning Research Findings: 50% of a student virtual learning day is required to consist of synchronous learning beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. IDOE’s Office of Digital Learning and Office of Teaching and Learning collaborated to provide research and guidance on finding the most intentional balance between synchronous and asynchronous virtual instruction. The research document can be accessed here in the Indiana Learning Lab, and the on-demand workshop highlighting key points can be found here. 

Summer of Learning 2023 Grant: IDOE’s 2023 Summer of Learning Grant application is open through Friday, October 28. This grant will support local school corporations interested in hosting a conference during summer 2023 the Summer of Learning conference series. The conference series will offer opportunities to connect with innovative, technology-enhanced pedagogy related to multiple strands. For more information, see this memo and join the live Summer of Learning Grant kickoff informational meeting at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 5. 

Fall 2022 Digital Learning Grant Recipients Announced: IDOE is pleased to announce the fall 2022 Digital Learning Grant recipients. This competitive grant opportunity continues the work around high-quality blended and online teaching practices by focusing on three strands concerning best practices for blended and online learning, training, support of universal design for learning (UDL), and the purchase and training of assistive technologies. Twenty-eight school corporations will be receiving these grant funds. IDOE appreciates all grant applicants for their time and commitment in applying for this opportunity. SAC has confirmed the E-Rate Fall 2022 Training dates for applicants and service providers that wish to learn more about the program and how to participate.
