REMINDER: On Monday, April 8, all applicable LEAs received a memo regarding their FY23 to FY24 carryover options, including the ability to apply for an excess carryover waiver or the ed-flex waiver #1. Please review this memo carefully to determine the best option for your LEA. If you have questions or would like to discuss your options, you may contact your assigned Title I specialist. All waiver requests are due by Friday, May 31, 2024 to ensure there is time available to fully budget carryover funds prior to the June 30, 2024 amendment deadline. The IDOE team is regularly uploading approved carryover amounts into the Title I App Center. Once uploaded, you will see the funds included on the summary section of your FY24 application as "unrequested" funds. You must fully budget any carryover funds prior to June 30, 2024 to ensure approval.

As a reminder, the ed-flex waiver #1 must be applied for annually. Previous approvals may be found
here. If you have questions about the ed-flex waiver, please contact Brittany Kronmiller.

REMINDER: The 2024-2025 school year corporation amendment window is Monday, April 1, through Friday, August 30. Corporations and schools with school profile changes should submit a corporation amendment request with supporting documentation via Jotform. Information regarding submission can be found here. Corporations and schools without any school profile changes do not need to submit a request. Contact IDOE’s Office of Accountability with any questions.

REMINDER: Consultation Planning Document (Optional) – This planning document is an optional resource crafted with our Federal Program Advisory Board as a resource for all LEAs that work with nonpublic schools. This is a local planning document that districts do not have to submit to IDOE. LEAs may use this document as a tool to help you when planning the equitable services calendar and deadlines. This document is especially helpful for newer administrators.

REMINDER: Choice Enrollment Report – Here is a list of Choice schools’ enrollment as of 10/2/23. We advise nonpublic schools to use the same enrollment date as public schools which is based on the state count date. If the nonpublic school does not participate in Choice, this report will not list it. This information is collected from a Choice school’s student information system (SIS).

REMINDER: The FY25 updated non-public equitable services consultation form has been posted to the ombudsman website. It will be emailed to superintendents and Title administrators in the next few weeks.
