Get Recertified as a Parent/Caregiver Peer Support Specialist

Anyone certified through the PLACE Division of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health to provide peer support must renew their certification and pay their renewal fee by Sept. 29, 2023. You can submit the renewal form and payment online or by mail, but you must use the same method for both. You can find instructions and the renewal form at this link.

You’ll need continuing education for recertification. Please refer to the DMH renewal instructions for more details.

Families as Allies’ events calendar has several trainings relevant to parent peer support that meet the requirements for continuing education. Please review the events section. We highlight some live training below and call attention to recorded training from Families as Allies and the National Federation of Families that you can use for continuing education.
