The National Federation of Families, “a nationwide advocacy organization with families as its sole focus,” is near and dear to our hearts at Families as Allies. We are Mississippi’s state chapter of the Federation, and our much-beloved founder, Tessie Schweitzer, was instrumental in starting the Federation. Joy Hogge, Families as Allies executive director, is on the board of the Federation and currently serves as the board president.
We encourage you to become involved with the Federation of Families, too. One of the best ways to be part of the Federation is to attend the annual NFF conference. This year’s in-person conference is in Chicago on November 9-11, 2023. The theme is Advancing Social Justice, Equity, and Inclusion. You can view the speakers here and also check out the agenda.
